reflected glory

I just thought I would show you this page from last month's Country Living magazine. It shows the studio of the lovely Emma, aka Silverpebble, who was featured in their 'Women and their Sheds' series.

What's that to do with me you might rightly wonder... well, that's my paper garland in the background! Emma kindly bought one from my Winter Shop a couple of years ago, and I think it looks lovely in its new home, don't you?

I wrote about how I made these garlands here.

I can vouch at how lovely your garlands are as I have one.

Sue, isn't it swell when we can connect? I had the pleasure of meeting Emma at the Selvedge Fair when I was in London last spring.

Since then, I keep berating myself for not having bought some of her silver earrings. My then immediate reason was that I haven't changed out my daily pearl earrings in years. Poor excuse.

I keep visiting Emma's site, contemplating what to choose. It's grand to see her in CL. When that issue does show up over here (maybe very soon) I will be on the lookout for your garlands, too.

How exciting, it is a shame you did not get a mention though.

I remember admiring the garland and the Christmas tree card first time around.

you don't post often, so it's a reflection of your work and your writing style that I keep popping back to see if you have… I loved the garland!

Ooh, I saw the magazine, but I didn't realise that the garland was one of yours ... it's lovely, and famous ;D x

I saw that very garland yesterday when I visited Emma's Open Studio! Her beach-hut style studio is every bit as inspiring and wonderful as it appeared in CL.

Just had a lovely catch up over here.

Hello, Sue! I remember your garlands, it's nice to see them again! I've been absent for a couple of months here - I had a glimpse from time to time, but now is the moment to read the posts I missed. I hope your July is full of more sunny days, making you feel the real summertime - hot, bright and rich in colours!
Oh, it seems you enjoyed a wonderful weekend - it's always exciting to visit some places you've never been before or that are dear to your heart! I had a delicious morning tea in a very special place, too (you can read about it in my last post).Did you finish the art classes?
Wishing you lots of smiles!xx
